Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Young Global Leader
The MyHeart Young Global Leader is an empowerment and enhancement programme for Malaysian students abroad who aspire to develop interpersonal and leadership skills to prepare for future career progression.
- As a student leader, the MyHeart Young Global Leader will help you develop and enhance your leadership skills through various workshops, trainings and support from TalentCorp when showcasing your skills via events or programmes.
- In addition, the programme will also allow you to build and grow your professional network with other Malaysian student leaders abroad, hiring employers, industry experts and other stakeholders.
- The MyHeart Young Global Leader programme offers monetary and non-monetary support for Malaysian students’ associations abroad to conduct successfully and organise their career-related events. This includes, but is not limited to, career fairs and graduate employability initiatives such as networking sessions, sharing sessions with industry leaders and career workshops.
- Through participation in this programme, MSAs will also be named as TalentCorp’s career partner, hence may increase MSAs’ publicity and visibility to other stakeholders and industry players.
Yes, if we have communicated with you on the programme before, you may participate in the exclusive career workshops and leadership training offered by MyHeart Young Global Leader.
Your association may submit as many proposals as you want. However, only ONE career fair proposal and ONE graduate employability initiative proposal will be accepted and eligible for support under MyHeart Young Global Leader.
Unfortunately, you will not be given another chance to resubmit your proposal. This is because we have limited allocation for the monetary support under Tier 1 (for career fairs) and Tier 2 (for graduate employability) initiatives. However, your proposal will still be considered for Tier 3 (non-monetary support) where needed.
No. Approval under YGL does not automatically guarantee funding. Support type and amount will be determined based on proposal quality, impact potential, and available resources.
YGL operates on a cohort-based system with a fixed proposal submission window and project timeline. Only proposals submitted within the stipulated window will be considered, and any proposals submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. Approved projects are supported within the cohort’s defined schedule. For more information on the cohort system, you may refer to the YGL Page
