Consultancy for global consultancy companies such as McKinsey & company, Accenture , Boston consulting , Nomura Research on petrochemical industries.
Due to increasing ESG pressures on use of synthetic rubbers (made from oil fossil fuel feedstock) for the tire & industrial applications , there is tremendous opportunities to upgrade and improve the quality our Malaysian natural rubber (NR) to bring it to next level to replace the higher cost synthetic rubbers.
While Malaysia may no longer be the largest NR producer compared to Thailand or Indonesia , there is alot of technical expertise that were developed at the Rubber Research Institute in Sg Buloh . Many PhDs there have done some excellent research work but they do not know how to monetise the technology and bring it to larger commercialization scale eg expoxided natural rubber to replace the synthetic butyl rubber due to better air rentention/permeability properties.
I have both commercial/technical expertise in both synthetic rubbers (ExxonMobil is one of the largest global manufacturer) and natural rubber (USM-School of polymer science ) and can help to grow the business….
Another area of interest (again, due to sustainability pressure) is use of palm oil as feedstock to replace thosed made from fossil fuel.Similar to RRI, PORIM people have done alot of good technical work but need to monetise these technologies to scale up due to increasing demand of products which are from natural feedstock….
